General FAQs
Barometer is India's first AI-driven inventory management platform built specifically for the food and beverage industry. It helps you track inventory, reduce wastage, control costs, and make data-driven decisions combining software with hands-on operational support and audits
Any F&B business that cares about inventory accuracy, cost control and clean reporting, from standalone restaurants and multi-outlet brands to bars, cloud kitchens, central kitchens, bakeries, and food brands running warehouses and dispatch operations.
Barometer is more than just software. Alongside our MATS and Bar products, our team provides setup, training, audits, variance analysis, reporting and ongoing operational support. Many clients work with our ops team daily or weekly.
Yes. Our team runs both digital and on-ground stock audits: physical counts, system reconciliation, variance analysis, and clear insights into root causes and fixes.
Yes. We integrate with Pet Pooja, Urban Piper, Shopify POS, custom/API-based systems and Excel uploads. The exact integrations are confirmed during onboarding based on your setup and sync needs.
Yes. For larger groups we roll it out in stages, but run those stages in parallel: the store or warehouse first, then central purchasing and production, then the outlets, then reconciliation at the outlet level, with outlets requisitioning from the store or central kitchen. The owner gets consolidated reporting across the group, role-based SOPs for purchasing, issuing and requisitioning, and a session on how the reports are presented in the monthly consultation.
Usually not. We integrate with the common POS systems, and where there's no direct integration you just upload reports into MATS or Bar. For accounting, Tally and Zoho already cover what's needed in India. Barometer sits on top of what you run today; you don't have to replace anything.
On the service plans you get a dedicated F&B controller who audits your data week on week. Every month (or fortnight) they run a full reconciliation of variance and costing and present it on a consultation call, with advice on where to tighten your processes and bring cost down. It's like having a third-party auditor review your operation, not just software you run on your own.
Yes, and we take it seriously. Your recipes, purchasing, sales and cost data sit on secure systems, and the platform is built so one client's data can never cross into another's. That includes the reports we send and the WhatsApp groups we run, which stay limited to the people working on your account.
Our sales team runs your onboarding and then hands you to a dedicated operations team. From day one you get a shared WhatsApp group for your account, a kickoff call, and ready-made setup sheets. You send your data in whatever raw format you keep it in, and we convert it into our upload formats and set the system up for you. Most of the work of going live sits with us, not your team.
Direct WhatsApp support, plus a call for anything urgent, with a clear escalation path so the right question reaches the right person quickly. Fast, personal support is one of the things clients stay with us for. You're not sitting in a ticket queue waiting for a reply.
Realistically, the first or second month of running on Barometer. It's a high-touch system with real data entry, so the payoff comes once the processes are in place, your team is trained and the habits have formed. We put that setup time in alongside you, so the variance and cost numbers you get afterwards are ones you can actually act on.
